There’s something magical about filling your home with your own crafted creations at Christmas. Building a stash of lovingly made objects which can be kept and re-used year on year. Using existing skills or learning new ones, just brings with it a sense of achievement and sentimentality. My favourite Christmas trees aren’t those that are carefully curated but those which tell the tales of all of the years gone by; the foil star, the cotton wool snowman, the Hobbycraft dog jar…
In our home, we start getting our Christmas craft on at the beginning of November. There’s the homemade cranberry sauce and paintings for our walls. As the time crawls nearer to Christmas Day, we bake oranges and make garlands. Gingerbread houses are the one thing we haven’t quite gotten the hang of but we have fun trying, nevertheless. We’ve done some workshops as a family too; one with the Christmas window pen art was our utmost favourite. There’s a lovely connection in being together, working on a shared goal.
With that in mind, I thought I’d look on Skillshare for some more workshops we might take part in together this Christmas and, in doing so, I remembered that I have a link which gives you one month free of Skillshare Premium. There’s no barrier and no better time to take advantage of such a cool array of festive fun available to you.
Here are the workshops I’ve bookmarked – don’t forget to sign-up for the free trial so you can access them too:
